Power Transmission
It transmits the power output by the engine through the transmission to the drive wheels, enabling the vehicle to move forward or backward.
In four-wheel drive models, it works in conjunction with the transfer case to distribute power between the front and rear axles, enhancing the vehicle's off-road capability and stability.
Adaptation to Displacement and Angle Changes
When the vehicle is in motion, the relative position between the transmission and the drive axle changes due to suspension movement (such as up and down bouncing, pitching, etc.). The drive shaft, through the design of universal joints and telescopic forks, can compensate for these displacements and angle changes (typically allowing an angle variation of 3° to 15°), ensuring continuous power transmission.
Buffering Vibration and Shock
Some drive shaft structures incorporate elastic elements (such as rubber bushings), which can reduce vibration and shock during power transmission, improving driving comfort.
