Description of Air Shock Absorbers

The suspension system is mainly composed of three major components.

(1) Elastic elements: mainly coil springs, leaf springs, air springs, etc., which support vertical loads.

(2) Shock absorbers: The main components that generate damping, quickly attenuate vibrations, and improve the smoothness of the car's ride.

(3) Guide mechanisms: Transmit force and torque, and also play a guiding role

Main Functions and Advantages

Air suspension has excellent nonlinear elastic properties, and ideal characteristic curves can be designed. For example, the ideal inverted/S0-shaped performance curve in vehicle suspension devices can be rationally configured to ensure that the suspension is soft during normal driving, while the stiffness is increased during sharp turns, uneven roads, and braking, thereby limiting the vehicle body's movement.
