As a type of suspension system for automobiles, automotive air suspension is typically composed of three types of body acceleration sensors that operate in different directions. These sensors include an air compressor, an energy storage unit, a regulation unit, body height sensors for the front and rear axle, and four air spring extension acceleration sensors. By adjusting the air within the shock absorber or air chamber, the suspension can be modified to achieve a desired level of damping, thereby stabilizing the vehicle's level position. Additionally, air suspension systems are equipped with air springs, which do not require the use of an exhaust valve to release the air. Depending on the location of the air bag, there are two common configurations for air suspension systems: one where the air bag is installed separately outside the vehicle, and another where it is integrated within the shock absorber.
Air suspension achieves the effect of adjusting the firmness and height of the vehicle by altering the capacity of the gas inside the air spring. Therefore, it can automatically lower the height of the vehicle while driving at high speeds, thereby reducing wind resistance and enhancing the vehicle's handling performance and stability.
