The core task of the half shaft is to pass on the torque processed by the engine through the gearbox and differential to the driving wheels, driving the vehicle to move forward or backward. It is the last mechanical link in the transmission system that drives the wheels.
Withstanding combined loads
During vehicle acceleration, braking, and cornering, the half shaft not only transmits huge torsional forces but also has to bear the bending moments and impact loads caused by uneven road surfaces and body roll. Especially for heavy-duty vehicles, the strength and toughness of the half shaft directly determine its survival ability under harsh conditions.
